Nic Carter's Star Identified, Currently in Retrograde
Bitcoin analyst Nic Carter, who famously proclaimed that his star is rising, may want to rethink his astrological beliefs. Researchers at the Mauna Kea Observatory have identified Carter's star, and it is currently in retrograde, with no signs of turning around for the next 236 years.
The star in question is officially known as HD 69830, a yellow dwarf located approximately 41 light-years away from Earth. It has three known planets in its system, but its retrograde motion is causing concern among astronomers and astrologers alike.
Anton Gerder, the head of the Mauna Kea Observatory, spoke about the significance of Carter's star being in retrograde.
"Retrograde motion is often seen as a negative influence in astrology, and it's certainly not a good sign for someone like Nic Carter, who has based so much of his career on the rising of his star," said Gerder in a phone interview.
Carter, who is based in Boston, has not yet commented on the news.
The identification of Carter's star was made possible through a new form of imaging developed by the Mauna Kea Observatory team. The imaging technology uses reverse mass spirography to specifically target individual stars and study their movements in detail.
The team will be publishing their findings in the upcoming release of Nature, as well as Bitcoin Magazine, the latter of which Carter is a frequent contributor to.
The news has caused a stir among both the scientific and crypto communities, with some seeing it as a sign of the futility of basing one's beliefs on a rising star.
"Maybe this will be a wake-up call for those who put too much stock in the stars. The universe doesn't revolve around us, and we need to remember that," said one crypto enthusiast.
Others, however, remain undeterred by the news.
"Sure, Carter's star may be in retrograde, but that doesn't mean he can't still be successful in his career. It's all about perspective," said another crypto enthusiast.
